Tsutsui, which has mainly handled OEMs for famous global brands for three quarters of a century since 1940, has launched its first in-house brand, Andersen Bag.
The Danish royal family, who was in charge of the relics of the fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen, released a handwritten signature to commemorate his 200th anniversary, and only the products of the "highest quality" solicited from around the world were granted licenses. Tsutsui was selected as one of those companies and the brand was launched. Representative Toshio Tsutsui says, "Denmark, the home country of Andersen, values culture and customs that have been passed down from generation to generation, including the solid craftsmanship that signifies such national character. I wanted to express that idea in the name of the brand and that is why we chose ‘Andersen’”.
To embody the concept of “being a timeless, supporting role for the person who bears it," the brand's products are extremely simple and will not be eliminated by transient trends or the passage of time. It is full of character. "Our ideal is to make things that will be passed down to the next generation while being supported by excellent domestic tanners and craftsmen.
